The holdup is mostly about how much guaranteed money they'll get over the four years.

On top of that, this incident could lead to punishment from the NFL under its Personal Conduct Policy.

Even though Judkins hasn’t officially signed with the Browns yet, the policy still applies to him.

According to Spotrac, he's projected to sign a four-year, $11.39 million deal.

The former Ohio State standout was riding high after helping lead the Buckeyes to a CFP National Championship, racking up 100 rushing yards and scoring two pivotal touchdowns in the final.

Prior to his standout year at OSU, Judkins made a name for himself at Ole Miss, where he earned SEC Freshman of the Year, was named a Freshman All-American, and claimed the prestigious Conerly Trophy in 2022.

His rise to fame was meteoric.

But now, that star is clouded by controversy.

Cleveland Browns have responded cautiously to the breaking news.

According to the Akron Beacon Journal, team officials are “aware and gathering information” surrounding the situation.

Judkins had recently expressed excitement about joining Cleveland, telling reporters, “What better place to be than here in Cleveland... Still feels like I’m at home.”

That sentiment has quickly been overshadowed by a potentially career-threatening scandal.
