Jamaica's Ackera Nugent displayed a devastating finishing kick to claim victory at the expense of Olympics champion Masai Russell at Rome Diamond League.
Jamaica's Ackera Nugent made it back to back Diamond League wins when she sprinted to the 100m hurdles victory in Rome on Friday.
Coming into the race high on confidence after her victory in Silesia last weekend, Nugent came face to face with Olympics champion Masai Russell yet again and the two displayed a great race.
Russell had a good start and led for most of the race before the Jamaican out sprinted her just after the final hurdle.
The former world U20 champion won the race in 12.24 seconds as Russell finished second in 12.31 seconds.
Dutchwoman Nadine Visser clocked 12.52 for third place.
It was a much improved performance from Russell who finished 11th in Silesia last week, her first race since winning Olympics gold.
