The Jamaican sprint queen has raced sparingly this season, but American sprint legend Michael Johnson has warned that she will certainly be lethal if she gets to the final of the women’s 100m on the Olympic stage.
In a video shared by Rori Dunk, Fraser-Pryce is seen having an explosive start from the blocks, ready to show the world what she is capable of for the final time. Johnson replied to the video saying that if the 10-time world champion makes it to the final, she will certainly be out to win herself a medal.

This is a clear warning to Sha’Carri Richardson, Shericka Jackson and other sprinters who will be out to fight for medals in the women’s 100m race in Paris.
“Shelly-Ann is at the end of her career. But if she’s in the final, there’s a good chance she’s taking a medal,” the four-time Olympic 400m champion said.
Meanwhile, the 37-year-old opened her season at the JAAA Olympic French Foray 3, winning in 11.15 before heading to the Jamaican Olympic trials where she had an impressive run.
The three-time Olympic champion started her campaign with 10.98 seconds win in the preliminaries before claiming top honours in the semifinal in 10.91. In the final of the race, she sealed the podium, crossing the finish line in a stunning 10.94.
Fraser-Pryce will be heading to her fifth Olympic Games after making her Olympic debut at the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games where she won a dominant gold medal in the women’s 100m.
She then defended her title at the 2012 London Olympic Games before losing the title to fellow Jamaican Elaine Thompson-Herah at the 2016 Rio Olympic Games.
