ATHLETICS Ezekiel Kemboi remains unfazed by Kipchoge’s Tokyo marathon show as he makes bold Olympic marathon claim
Kemboi is adamant Kipchoge still has everything it takes to compete at a high level despite his disapointment in Tokyo, which has prompted him into making a glaringly stark prediction about Kenya's chances at the Olympic games.
Kipchoge beat Kipruto at the 2018 Berlin Marathon on his way to setting a world record and also stunned the 31-year-old at the 2022 Tokyo Marathon. Kipchoge would also floor Kipruto at the 2023 Berlin Marathon with the latter fading to seventh position.
“We all carry the same blood and we shall be going there as a team and we are really waiting for good results either for me or Eliud or Lawrence," he said.
“I will be happy when even one secures a medal…Competing against them is always teaching me a lot and taking me to higher levels because I’m still learning the ropes,” he said.
