Powell, known as the sub-10s king, had a gifted legendary career that spanned over ten decades and enjoyed a healthy rivalry with fellow Jamaican Usain Bolt, as well as Americans Justin Gatlin and Usain Bolt.
In a recent post on his Instagram page, the multiple world and Olympic medallist shared a throwback photo of himself at 25 years old, when he was competing at the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games.

Powell, who recently celebrated his 41st birthday, retired as a Jamaican sprints legend. During his active years, he set the 100m World Record twice at 9.77s and 9.74s and consistently broke the 10s barrier with his personal best of 9.72s, ranking fourth on the all-time list.
