Botswana's rising star Bayapo Ndori continued his massive statement in the 2025 season after beating Olympic 200m champion Letsile Tebogo for the second consecutive time at the Maurie Plant Meet in Australia.
The 400m sensation led from the start and held on for a deserving win in 45.14s, holding off a fast-finishing Tebogo who clocked a Season's Best (SB) of 45.26s. Leungo Scotch also of Botswana was third in 45.60s.
Ndori's victory is his second of the season over Tebogo, as just two weeks ago at the ASA Grand Prix 1 in South Africa, he charged to a SB of 44.59s ahead of the Paris Olympics star in 45.42s.

Botswana's track star Letsile Tebogo believes Gout Gout has the talent but should be wary of being rushed into the senior circuit who are hungry for everything.
Despite the loss, Tebogo will be focused on shaking it off and intensifying his training for better performances as the season progresses, with the goal of upsetting Noah Lyles for the 100m and 200m titles at the Tokyo World Championships in September.
