Sifan Hassan slams Ethiopia's Gudaf Tsegay's dark arts after nearly ruining Faith Kipyegon's night
Hassan has criticised Tsegay for her notorious boxing antics after they initially caused Faith Kipyegon to be wrongly judged and stripped off her silver medal in the 5000m of the ongoing Paris Olympic games.
The first is to stop her from retaining her title while the second is running a fast race that will burn her out before Sunday’s marathon where she will be up against Kenyans Peres Jepchirchir, Hellen Obiri and Sharon Lokedi.
Meanwhile, Tsegay is the athlete who nearly ruined Kipyegon’s Olympics after she had an altercation with her in the 5,000m that led to her disqualification before her silver medal was reinstated following an appeal.
Ethiopian runners are gaining a reputation of using ‘dirty tricks’ and the Kenyans will have to be wary of them by avoiding close contact.
