Following the end of the Paris Olympics, Noah Lyles, Sha'Carri Richardson, and a host of other track and field stars are still making waves with their online visibility, which has seen them among the leaders of a social media chatting record.

The American track stars as part of the standout athletes in Paris, saw their online engagements and visibility skyrocket, especially on Instagram.

Lyles was and remains the most talked about track star pre and post-Olympics, as his controversial and vocal personality landed him in most news headlines globally.

5 - Gabby Thomas

Thomas hit the 1M mark by gaining over 696k followers following his memorable exploits of winning three gold medals in Paris.

The Harvard graduate claimed 200m, 4x100m, and 4x400m titles, with her Instagram fans currently at 1.1M followers.

6 - Mondo Duplantis

Another solid gainer with 680, 800 new followers to hit a new high of 1.2M followers on his Instagram page.

The Swedish pole vaulter broke his world record for the ninth time in his career to win the Olympic title and is in the top 3 of the standout performers in Paris.

7 - Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone

Track and field second world record breaker in Paris, McLaughlin-Levrone successfully defended her Olympic 400mH title by storming to a new lifetime best of 50.37s.
