Three of the world's best sprinters have been listed to compete in the 60m at the New Balance Indoor Grand Prix. The weekend is about to be super fast!
The men's 60m at the New Balance Indoor Grand Prix is expected to be a fast race as three of the world's best sprinters have been included on the start list.
The Grand Prix, set to take place in Boston, is part of the World Athletics Continental Indoor Tour meets, will take place this weekend, February 4.
Top on the list is Marvin Bracy, the fastest in the event on the star-studded list.
Bracy has a Personal Best (PB) of 6.44s, recorded while winning the bronze medal at the World Indoor Championships in Belgrade last year.
He will be making his season debut in Boston, gunning to churn out a fast time.
The second fastest lined up is Travon Bromell, also kicking off his 2023 season.
Bromell was the first junior athlete to break the 10s barrier in the 100m with a time of 9.97s - a World Junior Record at the time.
The American's PB in the 100m is 9.76s, making him the 6th fastest man of all time, tied with Christian Coleman and Fred Kerly.
Bromell won the 60m title at the 2016 World Indoor Championships and has a PB of 6.47s, placing him as one of the fastest sprinters ever in the event.
Finally, on the top three star athletes listed is Noah Lyles, the World 200m Champion.
Lyles is the slowest time amongst the three having a PB of 6.55s.
Though the 26-year-old is the least favourite to win the race, don't bet on him not to spring a surprise, as he can never be written off in a sprints race.
