Athletics Kenya has revealed the list of invited athletes for the World Athletics Relays national trials and brothers Ferdinand Omanyala and Isaac Omurwa headline the list of invitees.
Africa’s fastest man Ferdinand Omanyala and his younger brother Isaac Omurwa headline the list of invited athletes for the World Athletics Relays national trials.
The global event is scheduled for May 4 and 5 (Saturday and Sunday) in the Bahamas and athletes will be vying for a ticket to the global showpiece. Omanyala and Omurwa will be hoping to make the cut to the showpiece and compete as brothers on a global stage for the first-ever time.
Other Kenyan athletes invited for the event include Boniface Mweresa, Hesborn Ochieng, and Tyson Omondi. National champion Zablon Ekwam, Wiseman Were and Mike Mokamba.

Other track stars who will descend on the Nyayo National Stadium include hurdler Rukia Nusra, Monica Safania, Jane Chege, and Maureen Thomas.

Reigning World 800m champion Mary Moraa will not be resting after the Kip Keino Classic as she gears up to meet with her Briton rival at the Diamond League Meeting in Doha.
Meanwhile, Athletics Kenya were proud to announce that athletes from Uganda and Tanzania had confirmed participation at the event. Additionally, it was noted that all the invited athletes would be required to collect their running numbers in person on Friday, 5 at the Nyayo National Stadium starting from 9am to 6pm.
