Noah Lyles believes building a new stadium in the US is the best avenue on restructuring Michael Johnson's highly acclaimed Grand Slam Track League.
World and Olympic champion Noah Lyles isn't holding back on his resentment towards Michael Johnson's $30m Grand Slam Track (GST) and has advised on how to restructure the highly anticipated League.
Speaking on his Beyond The Records podcast's latest episode alongside fellow host Rai Benjamin and Vernon Norwood as a guest, the American speedster talked on the endless possibilities with the league and shared his perspective on how it should be restructured.

"I think they should hold out one more year, I think they need to build a new stadium in the US in one central city. You get in touch with Mondo, you get in touch with a city organization and you create this stadium that's going to be used year-round and it's going to host four Grand Slams each year," said Lyles advising the organizers.
In contrast, Benjamin disagreed with his perspective saying: "That's going to take too long. Buy land, build a track, build a stadium, it's just too much. It's more money than you actually think it's going to cost. And then on top of that, we are really a non-revenue sport."
Lyles and Benjamin are among the top track stars who refused to sign up for the GST League, citing different reservations and not believing in the philosophy of the meet.
