Chuwuebuka Enekwechi produced his best performance of the season to win the men's Shot Put in Brazil.
Nigerian Record holder in the Shot Put, Chukwuebuka Enekwechi produced his best performance of the season at the Adehemar Ferreira da Silva Meet on Sunday.
Enekwechi threw his implement to an impressive distance of 21.25m which was enough to win the event.
His mark is now tied joint ninth-best throw in the world this season and erased his previous SB of 20.12m set last weekend at the Drake Relays.
It is also better than all his throws in the indoor season, having thrown a Personal Best (PB) of 21.20m on his season's debut at the American Track League in January.
His indoor PB projected him to be second on the Nigerian all-time indoor list, behind Josh Awotunde's 21.33m recorded in 2018 and ahead of Stephen Mozia's 21.18m in 2016.
