NCAA Chukwuma and Ofili qualify for the NCAA Championships in the women's 100m and 200m

The duo of Rosemary Chukwuma and Favour Ofili secured their spots in the women's 100m and 200m respectively at the NCAA Championships.

Rosemary Chukwuma and Favour Ofili did enough in their respective quarterfinal heats to qualify for the NCAA Championships.

Chukwuma clocked a Season's Best (SB) of 11.09s to finish second in her 100m quarterfinal heat, behind Kennedy Blackmon in 11.02s.

It'll make it the second consecutive year she will compete at the NCAA Championships after getting to the 100m final last year.

Ofili also automatically qualified in her 200m heat, settling for a third-place finish in 22.77s. The Louisiana State University (LSU) poster girl hasn't been in her best form since the end of the indoor season, but she'll hope to get back to her best before the championship and can at least medal again.

Meanwhile, Imaobong uko missed getting a ticket by just 0.02s as she posted 51.51s to place thirteenth overall in the 400m. However, she helped her school's 4x100m relay team qualify, and they'll be in Austin.

Ella Onojuvwevwo will also be at the championships as part of LSU's 4x400m relay team.
