Former Olympic champion Conseslus Kipruto has proven he is still in the game as he has confirmed his next assignment following his eight-month hiatus.
Two-time world 3,000m steeplechase champion Conseslus Kipruto has announced he is still in the game after confirming participation in the Diamond League Meeting in Rabat, Morocco, scheduled for Sunday, May 19.
The former Olympic champion will be back on track after eight months of no competition since the last time he competed was at the Diamond League Meeting in Monaco on July 21 where he finished a disappointing 14th.
This was after he missed qualifying for the World Championships in Budapest, Hungary due to a slight injury during the national trials that saw him fail to finish the race.

Athletics Kenya has unveiled a list of five key requirements for the athletes who will be looking to participate in the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

Kipruto’s last appearance on the global stage and donning the Kenyan jersey was during the 2022 World Championships in Eugene, Oregon where he bagged a bronze medal and went on to finish sixth at the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham.
Last season, the Kenyan competed sparingly, opening his season in Rabat, where he did not finish the race, and proceeded to bag victiry at the Meeting Nikaia in France before his slight injury at the trials that cut short his ambitions.
