World 800m record holder David Rudisha is in awe after meeting up with newly crowned world marathon record holder Kelvin Kiptum in Paris.
Rudisha shared the photo, posing alongside Kiptum and they were all smiles. The two-time Olympic champion also shared a photo of himself and the National Olympic Committee of Kenya president Paul Tergat.

Tergat once held the 10,000m world record after shattering Haile Gebrselassie’s world record in 1997. However, the Ethiopian legend reclaimed his world record in 1998.

On his part, Rudisha is the reigning world 800m record holder. The two-time World champion first broke the world record on August 22, 2010, at the ISTAF World Challenge meeting in Berlin where he clocked 1:41.09 to win the race.
He then went ahead to break his own world record, clocking 1:40.91 set during the 2012 London Olympic Games that still stands to date.
Kiptum is the latest entrant into Kenya’s world record holders list after his heart-throbbing run at the Chicago Marathon. Kiptum clocked 2:00:35 to shatter Eliud Kipchoge’s world record time of 2:01:09.
