Youngster Emmanuel Wanyonyi looks to extend his winning streak to the Diamond League Meeting but faces a stern test, going up against strong challengers.
Emmanuel Wanyonyi faces a gruelling task at the Diamond League Meeting in Silesia where he goes up against the two men who almost ended his dream of becoming an Olympic champion.
Wanyonyi became the youngest Kenyan to win the 800m title, ensuring Kenya retains the Olympic title after Wilfred Bungei won the 2008 Olympic title.
David Rudisha claimed the 2012 London Olympics and 2016 Rio Olympics titles before Emmanuel Korir retained the title at the delayed 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games. Emmanuel Wanyonyi beat a strong cast in the men’s 800m final at the Paris Olympics to win the race.

The headliner of the challengers will be Canadian Marco Arop who earned a silver medal at the Olympics, finishing second behind the Kenyan youngster.
Arop hoped to claim the Olympic title after he stunned Wanyonyi at the World Championships in Budapest, Hungary. However, Wanyonyi switched gears on him, showing him dust at the Olympic Games.
