Legendary American sprinter Allyson Felix is co-founder of a new sports management firm called Always Alpha, created to support the success of female athletes in all areas of their lives.
American track legend Allyson Felix has launched a first-of-its-kind sports management firm fully focused on women’s sports called Always Alpha.
Felix who retired in 2022 as the most decorated track and field athlete in American history with more than 30 medals overall at the Olympics and world championships level, has been an advocate for female athletes since her retirement.
With the launch of her new firm Always Alpha as the co-founder, the seven-time Olympic champion said it was created to support the success of female athletes in all areas of their lives.
"The management firm is fully focused on women's sports and the idea really came from my career and how I was able to put things together. I took a lot of missteps and I want to be able to provide the next generation with that advise, with that guidance, so that they can have a great career and also a nice transition when they're done," said Felix in an interview with @CBSMornings.

Dina Asher-Smith: Learning and looking beyond Olympics disappointment to a 'world' of possibilities in 2025 season
Moving on from the frustrations of not winning an individual medal at the Paris Olympic Games, British speed queen Dina Asher-Smith has just one goal in mind ahead of next season - be on the podium at the Tokyo World Championships.
When asked why the firm is fully focused on female athletes and why they should be considered as a first option, Felix said:
"Because we're focused on women's sports. I think oftentimes it's been a one-size-fits-all all and it hasn't really been the idea of a woman being there. So we are here to bring all of their business together, to be able to say we see you and you're unique and we want to help you do things differently."

Keeping up with off-season activities: Gabby Thomas and Akani Simbine enjoy vacation in different destinations
How track stars Gabby Thomas and Akani Simbine are enjoying their vacation in the off season.
The 38-year-old who recently became a member of the International Olympic Committee, also spoke on her role, vision for all female athletes and mothers, and how she played a vital role in creating a nursery at the Paris Games.
"It's really just being the athletes' voice. I get to be a part of the committee and I get to listen to the concerns of athletes and try to make things different.
"We were so excited to bring the nursery to the Olympic village at the Paris Games...It was a space that felt like home and athletes could bring in their babies because it's really hard to come into the village so they can have their babies while their competitions were taking place."
