Empty stadium greets Tobi Amusan's return at the 2023 Nigeria Trials in Benin
Nigerian sports fans are displeased with the poor turnout of spectators and media visibility Tobi Amusan received in her semifinal race at the 2023 Nigeria Trials.
She has appeared at every national and continental meet whenever she's called upon by Nigeria, making herself a good role model to the young hurdlers based in the country.
It is expected that the Athletics Federation of Nigeria (AFN) is going to persuade the world champion to be part of the 4x100m relay squad as the team looks to solidify its position in securing its spot at the World Championships in Budapest.
If not, Amusan will shift her attention to being back in Europe for the Silesia Diamond League as she continues her preparations on her world title defense in Budapest.
