World's fastest woman alive Elaine Thompson-Herah has shown positive signs of being back in her best shape after her recent training video showed she may be faster than her historic Tokyo 2021 Olympics title-winning season.
The Jamaican track icon who's yet to open her 2024 season, posted her training videos on her Instagram page, which athletics pundits and enthusiasts have attributed that she has gotten faster and in shape to defend her Olympic titles in Paris.
Thompson-Herah had a magnificent 2021 season, where she made history by defending her Olympic 100m and 200m titles and added the 4x100m gold medal in Tokyo, thus becoming the third sprinter after Florence Griffith-Joyner and Usain Bolt to complete an Olympic sprinting triple.
Not done with her impeccable performance, she went to the 2021 Prefontaine Classic to set another 100m Personal Best, Jamaican, and Diamond League record of 10.54s to become the second-fastest woman in history. This season, she was voted Laureus Sportswoman of the Year and World Athletics World Female Athlete of the Year.
A sad turn of events in the following years saw her plagued with injuries and coaching issues, but her brilliant comeback late last season propelled her back into the discussion of the world's best sprinters.
