It is the first time Thompson-Herah will be seen in a track scene following her disheartening withdrawal from the Jamaican Olympic trials after sustaining an Achilles tendon injury at the NYC Grand Prix in May.
Her non-participation invariably meant exclusion from competing in Paris, where she could have made history by becoming the first woman ever to complete double sprint titles at three consecutive Olympics.
