Sha’Carri Richardson, Noah Lyles ready to blaze track at 2023 Prefontaine Classic
The 2023 Prefontaine Classic will feature star sprinters Sha'Carri Richardson and Noah Lyles competing in the 100-meter races.
She is slowly announcing her return and will soon be in top form but before then, she will be testing herself in Brussels, competing against familiar foes.
The Olympic champion has been battling a series of injuries and technical challenges which have immensely affected her form but she is slowly making a return to the competitive field.
In Brussels, she will be up against Great Britain’s Dina Asher-Smith, the fastest in the field with a time of 10.85. Asher-Smith has had a pretty rough season this year and she will be keen to right her wrongs when she heads to the capital of Belgium.
She is yet to win the 100m race at the Diamond League Meeting and she will be hunting for that when she steps foot on track for the first time since her unsatisfactory exit from the World Championships.
She has so far record three sub-11 performances and will definitely be looking to give Thompson a run for her money when they lock horns.
Another one to watch out for is compatriot Morrison who beat Thompson in Zurich. Morrison has also been in good shape so far this season and she will be keen to make a mark in Brussels.
