Ese Brume will return to competing on a big stage at the Rome Diamond League, while Tobi Amusan is still missing in action.

Nigeria's long jump queen Ese Brume will return to Diamond League action in Rome, while Tobi Amusan is officially confirmed to forfeit her 100mH title.

Fresh from not medalling at the Paris Games, Brume will be gunning to hit her top form again and perhaps get the better of Olympic champion Tara Davis-Woodhall when she competes against a formidable field in the women's long jump event.

Also included to pose a major challenge is Paris bronze medallist Jasmine Moore, while Spanish sensation Fatima Diame won't be a pushover.

Meanwhile, world record holder Amusan will not be defending her Diamond League title for the fourth time in a row, following her no appearance in three consecutive meets after the Olympics, hence unable to rack up the needed points to make the final.

Amusan disappointingly didn't make the Olympic final in Paris, and ever since has been missing in action on and off track.
