Brume jumped this on her final attempt to leap from Quanesha Burks, who jumped 6.77m, and Agate De Sousa with 6.76m for third.

Her series throughout the competition were improvements from her previous attempts, showing her progress with every jump.

The Nigerian's victory came from the brink of her first loss of the year at the Florence Diamond League, where she finished fourth in the event with a distance of 6.54m. Young Italian Larissa Lapichino won with a distance of 6.79m.

Brume will now focus on her next competitions as she continues to improve to hit the 7.00m mark, which will be a significant confidence boost as she guns for a medal at the World Championships in Budapest.
