Sprinter Mark Otieno is burning the midnight oil with the hope of qualifying for the Olympic Games in Paris, France come next year.
Otieno was declared eligible to compete again back in August after he successfully completed his doping ban and since then, he has shared photos of himself on the track and in the gym grinding hard to make the cut to Team Kenya to the Olympic Games.

ATHLETICS Over Ksh100 million to be won at Sunday's New York City Marathon
Approximately Ksh100 million has been set aside for athletes who perform well at the New York City Marathon on Sunday.
In one post on his X (Twitter) handle, Otieno posted a photo of himself and captioned it: “Success is the repeated sum of small efforts day in, day out.”
The post caught the attention of fans who commented on the photo with encouraging messages. One user, Alasiri Motors, said: “You will be great.”
Another inquisitive fan, Jakojera Bodyworks went ahead and asked Otieno how the times he is posting are looking. He said: “How are times looking?”

Meanwhile, Otieno was suspended by the Athletics Integrity Unit due to the presence of prohibited substance Methasterone in his system a few minutes before he stepped foot on the track for the 100m semifinals at the delayed 2021 Tokyo Olympic Games.
