Favour Ashe will face his strongest challenge in the 60m this season, competing against 2016 World Indoor Champion Trayvon Bromell.

Nigeria's fastest man Favour Ashe will be racing against one of the world's fastest men in Trayvon Bromell, at the Tiger Paw Invitational this weekend.

Bromell is a former World 60m Champion and 100m bronze medallist at the 2022 World Championships in Oregon.

The American made his 2023 season's debut at the New Balance Indoor Grand Prix last weekend, where he finished second behind Noah Lyles, though both clocked an identical time of 6.51s.

He'll look forward to lowering the time when he goes against the Auburn University sophomore student, who has a Season's Best (SB) of 6.55s.

Ashe will however, gun to create a major upset facing the more established and faster American. He has a Personal Best (PB) of 6.51s clocked in 2022, against Bromells PB of 6.47s, set in 2016.

The 20-year-old speedster cannot be underrated in a race like this, as he can spring up a major surprise to the astonishment of everyone.

But to make this a reality, he will need to go faster than his SB and perhaps PB to achieve this. Whatever happens, the race is foreseen to be very fast and one that will build the confidence of the Nigerian youngster.

Other athletes listed in the starting lineup that may stun the two favourites are Kentucky's Jordan Anthony (6.55s), Louisville's Sterling Warner-Savage (6.55s), University of Texas Marcellus Moore (6.60s), and NC State's Alex Lang (6.61s).
