The men's 100m event at the Xiamen Diamond League will feature some of the best sprinters in the world, especially Fred Kerley and Marcell Jacobs continuing their rivalry for the needed bragging rights.
Former world champion Fred Kerley has laid down the gauntlet ahead of his 100m showdown with Olympic champion Marcell Jacobs at the Xiamen Diamond League.
Kerley, who had a disappointing outing at the World Championships in Budapest after failing to qualify for the 100m final, believes it's all behind him and will get the needed victory in Xiamen.
"Only one person can win, and that's me - simple," said Kerley in the press conference organised for the top runners in the men's 100m event.
Jacobs also didn't qualify for the final in Budapest, but his injury-plagued season may have hindered his preparations of performing to his best.
The stacked 100m field in Xiamen comprises Christian Coleman and Mavin Bracy, both with great chances of getting the win.
