A host of athletics stars were present at the wedding ceremony of British 400m record holder Matthew Hudson-Smith in Birmingham, including Noah Lyles and his girlfriend Junelle Bromfield.

Olympic 100m champion Noah Lyles and his girlfriend Junelle Bromfield linked up with Dina Asher-Smith and other track stars at the wedding of Paris Olympic silver medallist Matthew Hudson-Smith.

The intimate wedding in Birmingham, United Kingdom had several top athletes in attendance at the reception, as they gathered to celebrate their British colleague's new phase as a married man.

Aside from Lyles, Bromfield, and Asher-Smith in attendance, others present were British star sprinters Nethaneel Mitchel-Blake, Andrew Pozzi, and Adam Gemili, veteran American 400m runner Vernon Norwood, and Lyles' brother Josephus.

Others such as Katarina Johnson-Thompson, Chloe Wison, and Kyron McMaster were also present as they all occupied 'Table Nine', now tagged by athletics fans as the fastest gathering at a table.

Hudson-Smith tied the knot with his longtime girlfriend after a historic 2024 season that saw him become the Olympic 400m silver medallist in Paris.

His time of 43.44s clocked in the final saw him become the British and European record holder, and ranks him fourth on the all-time list. In addition, he currently holds the top 5 fastest times ever run by a European athlete in the 400m and is widely considered the greatest British and European 400m runner in history.

As of 2022, Hudson-Smith is the most decorated British male athlete in European Championships history with seven medals, second overall only behind French sprinter Christophe Lemaitre.
