Coach Geoffrey Kimani has expressed his satisfaction with the progress made by Ferdinand Omanyala's younger brother, Isaac Omurwa.
Ferdinand Omanyala’s coach Geoffrey Kimani, who doubles up as coach to his wife Laventa Amutavi and younger brother Isaac Omurwa, is impressed by how the latter is improving day by day.
Kimani took charge of the youngster late last year and so far, he has noted great improvements in the 19-year-old.

In a post on his X (Twitter) handle, he said: “The Young Gun... 19-year-old @omurwa_isaac carving his own niche, joined the program this season with a personal best of 10.50 secs in the 100m dash... ...halfway through, we are on a new PB 10.35secs!”

Ferdinand Omanyala's younger brother, Isaac Omurwa has opened up on why he looks up to Jamaican sprinters apart from his elder brother.
Omurwa has been competing with the senior athletes so far this season and he is slowly following in the footsteps of his elder brother.
He opened his 2024 with the second Athletics Kenya weekend meet held at the Ulinzi Sports Complex where he finished an impressive fourth, stopping the clock at 10.61.
Omurwa then proceeded to the third AK weekend meet at the Nyayo National Stadium, finishing third in the 100m where he clocked 10.36 to cross the finish line.
He was bidding for a ticket to the African Games but narrowly missed after finishing fourth in 10.38 during the national trials held at the Nyayo National Stadium.
The youngster now has eyes on the World Athletics Relays, where he hopes to team up with his brother, Africa’s fastest man, to bring glory to the country.
Omurwa only began his professional career last year and he is slowly taking the world of juniors by storm. Last season, he was in action at the East Africa Under-20 Championships where he won the 100m before proceeding to the African Under-20 Championships.
