The inaugural Grand Slam Track scheduled to begin from April 2025 is shaping up to be an iconic track competition next year after the announcement of more venues for the League.
Michael Johnson’s $30m new Grand Slam Track League slated to begin April 2025, has received numerous accolades following the recent announcement of two of the four venues for the highly-anticipated competition next year.
The Grand Slam Track League which already has many elite athletes such as US hurdling queen Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone and Olympic sprint star Kenny Bednarek signed up for the series has a prize fund of $12.6m.
In June, Los Angeles was named as one of the four host cities, while the National Stadium in Kingston, Jamaica has been confirmed as the host city for the league’s first Slam on April 4th, 5th, and 6th.

Following the confirmation of more athletes, find out the official list of 30 athletes officially signed with the Grand Slam Track League.
The Grand Slam Track organizers have also confirmed Miramar/Miami, Florida, as one of the four sites at the Ansin Sports Complex on May 2nd, 3rd, and 4th, with the final venue to be announced this week.
According to citiusmag.com, Ansin Sports Complex has a seating capacity of over 5,000, and it is expected that the Slam organizers will add more temporary seating to the venue for the three days. Commissioner Michael Johnson tweeted there are plans for "adding additional seating, premium hospitality and fan zone."

Michael Johnson hosted 25 GST stars to the Racers Summit in preparation for the inaugural Grand Slam Track League next season.
Grand Slam Track Miami will also overlap with the F1 Miami Grand Prix, scheduled for the Miami International Autodrome, constructed around Hard Rock Stadium.
“South Florida knows how to host big events, and that’s exactly what we’re bringing with Grand Slam Track. This region has a real passion for sports, and I’m confident the energy here will make it a memorable experience for both the racers and the fans. We’re building something special, and Miami is going to be a huge part of that,” said Grand Slam Track boss Johnson.
Meanwhile, UK Athletics rejected the chance to host one of the Slams' because of fear of financial risk. Birmingham’s Alexander Stadium and the London Stadium were rumoured to be among one of the cities.
The UKA’s chief executive, Jack Buckner, said its difficult financial situation meant it would be focusing on making the Diamond League in London profitable, as well as a potential bid for the 2029 World Athletics Championships.
