Recently, three-time world champion Grant Holloway shared a tweet concerning triple world champion Noah Lyles and he has come out to explain what he really meant.
In the tweet, Holloway said: “Call a spade a spade…Noah Lyles sells tickets and Grant Holloway doesn’t…lol.”
The Olympic Games silver medallist explained that he believes Lyles is more marketable and has a storyline that places him at the forefront of all the things he does.

Grant Holloway's chances of bagging the Olympic titles have increased after the reigning Olympic champion Hansle Parchment disclosed that he is not yet ready to start his season.
Holloway added that he is also aware of his abilities and he knows he can do what his compatriot is doing but the difference is that he has a storyline.
He noted that Lyles is working towards doing something that is yet to be done since the retirement of American stars Tyson Gay and Alyson Felix.

“Everything I’m saying is not false about Noah…I’m a hurdler. I have a silver, he has a bronze but I think like that, we both have lucky medals, we both have world titles.
“More so in the limelight, he does a sexy event. I know what event I do and I think I’m fully capable of doing what Noah is doing but Noah Lyles has a storyline.
“He is trying to do something that has not been done I think since Tyson Gay, and Alyson Felix type of era, so they are going to push that and I don’t have a problem with it," Holloway said.

Noah Lyles slams USTAF's decision to host Team Kenya's Olympic 10,000m trials
Triple world champion Noah Lyles is not happy with the Prefontaine Classic organisers for accepting to host Team Kenya's 10,000m Olympic qualifiers and has given reasons behind his argument.
The two-time world indoor champion also insisted that it was unfair to have Lyles run the 400m at the World Indoor Championships, despite winning a medal in the 4x400m men’s relay.
“It’s unfair sometimes when you have athletes that run the 400m…I know it’s indoor so we don’t have all Michael Normans and we don’t have our ripe Benjamins.
“It’s unfair the way that Team USA went about it because they put all the protocols and everything in it which I know obviously Noah probably said he wanted to do it, which I think at the end of the day we were able to conquer a medal which is great but I think when you say you have to run the 400m and you got to be part of that pool, I think you just need to stick to that storyline,” Holloway said.
