Undefeated in the 60mH event in 11 years, Grant Holloway blazed to a historic third consecutive world indoor title in Nanjing.

Olympic champion Grant Holloway added another feather to his glorious list of iconic medal collections, after winning a historic 60mH gold on day two of the World Indoor Championships in Nanjing.

The American speed hurdler who has been unbeaten in the event since 2014, extended his streak effortlessly in a brilliant time of 7.42s, as Frenchman Wilhem Belocian won silver in 7.54s, edging China's Junxi Liu in 7.55s.

With his victory, Holloway became the first man ever to win the world indoor 60mH title three times. He is also the first man in history to become the world indoor and outdoor champion three times, ranking him highly as one of the all-time greats to run the event.

Following his success in Nanjing, he now has 85 wins in a row, he's undefeated in eleven years, and the last time he lost in the 60mH was when he was 16.

Holloway will be gunning to take the same form outdoors, with the goal of defending his 100mH title at the Tokyo World Championships in September.
