UK Athletics has officially announced the Great Britain and Northern Ireland teams for the upcoming World Athletics Indoor Championships in Glasgow, Scotland from March 1-3.
The team selection has been guided by the goal of optimising medal success and securing top eight placings, aligning with the championship's policy.
The complete team will be finalised pending confirmation of the World Athletics Road to Glasgow Rankings later this week.
Athletes who meet the UK Athletics requirements outlined in the selection policy will be confirmed based on their position in the rankings.
Notable athletes like world champion Josh Kerr (3,000m) and Olympic silver medallist Laura Muir (3,000m) are part of the selected team, promising an exciting showcase for the home crowd as the championship make its debut in Scotland.

Following her impressive world-leading performance of 4.85m in the pole vault at the Microplus UK Athletics Indoor Championships in Birmingham, Molly Caudery has earned her place on the GB & NI team, showcasing the best form of her career.
Jemma Reekie, who set a Championship record at the Utilita Arena, will compete in the women’s 800m, while Georgia Bell, in scintillating form in 2024, receives her first call-up to the GB & NI senior team for the 1,500m event.
Expressing her anticipation for the team's performance, Olympic head coach Paula Dunn stated: "We are pleased to be announcing such a strong team for the World Athletics Indoor Championships in Glasgow, and I am looking forward to seeing how the team performs on the world stage."
She continued, "This is a really exciting squad that includes global medallists as well as athletes who will be hoping to make an impact on the world stage for the first time.
