Noah Lyles's Jamaican girlfriend Junelle Bromield is enjoying the fruitful relationship she has with the American speedster as she praises the impact he has on her career.

Junelle Bromfield is full of praises for her boyfriend Noah Lyles, following his victorious Olympic 100m gold medal and his impact on her career.

Lyles blazed to his first Olympic gold medal in a new Personal Best (PB) of 9.79s to win America's first Olympic men's 100m title in 20 years since Justin Gatlin accomplished the feat at Athens 2004.

Noah Lyles defeated Kishane Thompson to win Paris Olympics 100m gold

By doing this, he edged fierce rival Kishane Thompson to the title despite both clocking an identical time. However, the Jamaican settled for the silver medal by a minute 0.005 thousands of seconds, while Fred Kerley resurfaced on why he's a former world champion by claiming the bronze medal in 9.81s.

“I’m extremely happy for Noah. I’ve heard him talking about wanting to win the Olympic 100m so many times," said Bromfield who was present at the stadium to watch her boyfriend roar to victory against her countryman.

"Before he went out there yesterday, I told him that he was definitely going to win. After the semifinals, I told him the same thing. He and his whole family believed and he came out victorious.”

The romantic pair who have been together since 2022, are one of the few couples in track and field that qualified for the Paris Olympics and are donning their country's different colours at the Games.

After watching her boyfriend's victorious exploits, Bromfield was motivated to qualify for the 400m semifinals in her event, which she did by finishing third behind Rhasidat Adeleke and Alexis Holmes in their heat race.

"His confidence is rubbing off on me. I’m out here running the individual 400m. I’ve been to the Olympics before, and the world championships, doing the 4x400m relay, and now I have my own lane here," she disclosed in an interview with reporters after her race.

With Lyles gunning to do the double by adding the 200m gold to his illustrious medal collections, Bromfield will be aiming to at least make the final in the women's 400m, where she will be believing her boyfriend's confidence can rub off on her for a medal.
