Following an iconic Olympic year, Julien Alfred's new stat released by the World Athletics shows she has topped Usain Bolt to a record.

Saint Lucia's heroine Julien Alfred has once again cemented her name with another monumental feat never achieved by the legendary Usain Bolt, after becoming the first woman in history to win the World and Olympic titles in a season.

In a recent stat released by the World Athletics body, Alfred is the first athlete in history, male or female, to become the World Indoor 60m and Olympic 100m champion in a year.

As a rookie, the 23-year-old swept all titles available in the 2024 season, which kicked off at the world indoor championships in Glasgow in March, where she stormed to an outstanding world-leading time of 6.98s to become the 60m champion, thus securing Saint Lucia's first-ever gold medal in any athletics event.

Moving outdoors at her first Olympic Games in Paris, Alfred defeated pre-championship favorite Sha'Carri Richardson in the 100m final with a blazing new personal best of 10.72s. Not resting on her oars, she claimed the silver medal in the 200m event behind Gabby Thomas, to engrave her name as a two-time medallist in her Olympic debut.

Finally, closing off her exceptional Olympic year, she overcame a tough challenge from a strong field to win her first Diamond League 100m title in Brussels.

Following the release of the World Athletics stat, Alfred's accomplishment is the first time in history any athlete will scoop all titles in a single season, making her the most decorated female sprinter of the year.

The new revelation also means she is one of the very few athletes to beat Bolt to a record, which now puts her as one of the all-time greats in the history books.
