World and Olympic champion Noah Lyles showed his speed prowess against popular YouTuber and massive Ronaldo fan IShowSpeed in a 50m race sponsored my MrBeast.
Olympic champion Noah Lyles proved his mettle as the world's fastest man after defeating popular YouTuber and massive Christiano Ronaldo fan IShowSpeed in an epic 50m race for $100,000 winning prize money.
The race, sponsored by multi-billionaire social influencer MrBeast, was organized for a philanthropic cause, with all the winning money going to charity.
Before the start of the race, Lyles was captured lending IShowSpeed one of his Adidas spikes to help improve his speed. Jogging and getting set for the race "Alright, how far are we racing?" To which Lyles responded: "Come on man, you said you want to be the world's fastest man...we race the 100m."
After an agreement to run the 50m, Lyles have Speed a pre-warning:
"No matter what, you do not stop running this race...After the second step, you'll lose all hope and will want to stop the race, but do not stop this race. Run through the line.
The Race
With his trademark poor start, the Olympic and World 100m champion reacted slower at the sound of the gun, but after the first 20m, he cut up with Speed and held his form to cross the finish line first.
With the race appearing close, Speed kept screaming "That was a tie, I'm the fastest man alive. I'm the fastest man in the world." Until the replay clip was played and Lyles was judged the clear winner.
Noah Lyles donates his $100,000 to his foundation
Following his confirmed victory, the American speedster was asked what charity he'd be donating to, to which he responded by trolling Speed.
"I'd love for Speed to have it but the kids I'm working for need it more - the Lyles Brothers Foundation." While Speed kept reiterating "You barely won," Lyles replied: "I didn't even hit top speed."
Who is IShowSpeed?
He is an American YouTuber and online streamer and is known online as IShowSpeed or Speed.
In 2022, he began shifting focus toward football-related content, becoming an avid supporter of Cristiano Ronaldo commonly revolving his content with support towards him.
Speed has also proven to have athletic abilities as on August 3, 2024, he performed a live-streamed stunt where he jumped over two speeding luxury cars - Lamborghini and McLaren in Miami to prove his athleticism and silence skeptics who had previously doubted the authenticity of his car jump videos.
