US track star Noah Lyles revealed the preparations and challenges of his upcoming wedding with Jamaican fiancée Junelle Bromfield, which he stated will be one for the ages as they're planning something big.
Noah Lyles has revealed his wedding preparations with his Jamaican fiancée Junelle Bromfield, one which he said would be in the United States and be a big party.
The Olympic 100m champion opened up on their plans and challenges they've faced so far in a conversation with Tara and Hunter Woodhall during his Beyond The Records podcast, in which Rai Benjamin is a co-host.
Benjamin asked The Woodhalls to advise Lyles on the wedding planning using their experience and the couple gladly said they'll need to use wedding planners.
Tara advised on the budget and said: “Just tell them you’re an Olympic gold medalist for free…," to which Lyles replied: "Um, I have been getting a lot of that." "Yeah, you’re going to get a lot of things for free, which is really nice,” added Tara.
Lyles continued and said: “Yeah, we’ve got like five resorts in Jamaica saying that they would host us for free. Yeah, it’s like that is great, but I think we’re going to do it in the US.”
However, the American speed king admitted there was a challenge in choosing the location as Bromfield is from Jamaica, but it has been sorted out after coming to a good compromise.
“I can definitely see me having, like, being like, Yeah, I want to do more," said the world 100m and 200m champion. "She’s that much more reserved, and we’ve already found a good compromise on how to do that and get the both out of what we both want," he continued. "But yeah, I’m definitely a big, you know, I want my wedding, our wedding, to be a party.”
