The American speedster running in front of her home crowd stormed to the needed victory to defeat world 60m champion Julien Alfred in 10.93s, while Great Britain's record holder Dina Asher-Smith was third in 10.98s.

Surprisingly, double Olympic champion Elaine Thompson-Herah was ninth in 11.30s - a below-par performance for the Jamaican track icon.
Speaking with Sarah Lorge Butler after the race, the world's fastest woman revealed how she was able to overcome her fears and bounce back to prominence.

Sha'carri Richardson defeated a star-studded field that included double Olympic champion Elaine Thompson-Herah to make a bold statement at the Prefontaine Classic Diamond League in Eugene.
"I feel great about the race. I feel like I'm continuing to grow, develop as a track athlete," she said.
When asked if she was nervous before the race, considering she's had back-to-back 200m losses as season openers, Richardson affirmed stating she used it instead as a motivation.
