Praise Idamadudu retained her Track Athlete of the Week for a record-breaking third time.
Nigeria’s Praise Idamadudu has been named the Women’s Mid-South Conference Track Athlete of the Week for the third straight week.
This was announced Monday by the Mid-South Conference office following the Nigerian’s impressive performance in the American collegiate circuit, where she posted two top-three finishes at the Life University Open in Marietta, Georgia.
The former two-time African U20 champion finished first in the 400m with a time of 53.65s, besting her previous top mark in the event by two-tenths of a second.
She also finished in third place in the 100m at 11.91s. According to her University, Cumberland University website, Idamadudu currently holds the top marks in the NAIA in the 100m, 200m, and 400m events.
