Letsile Tebogo didn't hold back on trolling Noah Lyles after being asked who he thinks is the 'face of athletics'.
Following his exceptional victory to win the Paris 2024 Olympic 200m gold medal, Letsile Tebogo didn't mince words in trolling Noah Lyles with his 'face of athletics' bragging claim.
The Botswana speed king stunned Lyles to the 200m title in a blazing new African Record (AR) of 19.46s, as Kenny Bednarek won the silver medal in 19.62s while the Olympic 100m champion settled for the bronze medal in 19.70s.
By doing this, Tebogo became the first man from Africa to win an Olympic 200m title and a gold medal from his country, thus cementing his name as the greatest African sprinter to run the event in history.

'For you mum' - Letsile Tebogo dedicates historic Olympic 200m gold to late mother who passed away in May
Letsile Tebogo had only one mission in mind at Paris 2024 Olympics - win the Olympic 200m gold medal and dedicate it to his late mum. He did both conveniently in a historic way.
Speaking in the press conference after his historic feat when asked if he considers himself the new face of athletics, Tebogo wasted no time in trolling Lyles for his arrogance and loud personality.
"I think for me I can't be the face of athletics because I'm not an arrogant or a loud person like Noah, so I believe Noah is the face of athletics."
Tebogo and Lyles have met on several occasions in both the 100m and 200m events, with the Botswanan's only victories being in Paris in the semifinals and final.
