‘It failed me’ - Junelle Bromfield embarrassed after breaking rules in new house with fiancé Noah Lyles
Noah Lyles’ fiancé Junelle Bromfield was gutted after taking a big risk in the couple’s new house only for it to backfire on her.
His claims ruffled some feathers and Jamaican fans were not happy with his statements and they went after Junelle Bromfield. In an interview with Sim Soul Sessions two months ago, the two-time Olympian revealed that she considered withdrawing from the Jamaican Olympic trials and quit running the track.
However, her boyfriend Noah Lyles encouraged her to show up and for the first time in her life, she made the national team in an individual event. However, going to the Paris Olympic Games, she still faced a lot of backlash, forcing her to wonder whether she was doing the right thing.
Junelle Bromfield added that talking to God has been helpful but hinted that she is still undecided about continuing with her track career. Even though she has resumed training, she is unaware of what the future holds when it comes to her track career.
“Even before the national trials, I was telling Noah I’m not sure I want to do track anymore. I was not sure if that was the path for me and I know I’m a business-minded person so coming up with a bunch of ideas. I was like, I’m heading out and I’m going to do this, I’m not even going to the national trials and I was praying on it and in that time, Noah told me there was nothing to lose by going to the trials because I had trained hard for that,” Junelle Bromfield said.
“He told me to go and appreciate myself for doing it. I went to the trials and no one expected me to make it in the trials and I did and I was like God, maybe this was a turning point and I would do it. When we got to the Olympics I was wondering whether I should do it for my country because we don’t appreciate people.”
This season has been challenging for the two-time Olympian but at least had a happy ending as she got engaged to her long-time boyfriend Noah Lyles. She also moved in with him after they bought a house together.
