Daniel Simiu has disclosed his coach's wise words that prevented him from dropping out of the Sirikwa Classic Cross-country despite having a stitch.
The season has plenty of competitions lined up including the African Cross-country Championships in Tunisia, the All-African Games in Ghana, and the Olympic Games in France.
However, Simiu is uncertain about competing in any of the events too, noting that his coach is the one who dictates where he will run. He also emphasised that this being an Olympic year, all efforts will certainly be driven to qualifying for the bonanza.
“I don’t know about what my season holds yet because it’s my coach who knows how my form is and he will decide where I run,” Simiu said.
