Fans are in awe of how Sha'Carri Richardson managed to win the 100m race at the US Olympic trials with an untied shoelace and a poor start off the blocks and she has explained what that specifically means to her.
World 100m champion Sha’Carri Richardson has opened up on what it means to be able to run with her shoes laces untied and stumbling and eventually winning the heats at the US Olympic trials.
Richardson won her heat in 10.88, something that was unbelievable since she did not have a great start off the blocks and her race was marred by difficulties from her untied shoelaces.
The American sprint queen, however, takes the positive out of that race and believes that it is a sign that she is on the right path as she seeks to make the cut to the Olympic team where she intends to write history.

Lilian Odira, who is currently in majestic form, will be heading to the Africa Senior Athletics Championships with the hope of being crowned continental champion.
After the race, Richardson observed that she did not have the best of starts but will definitely be going back to the drawing board and hoping to execute a better race in the semifinal.

“Definitely looking back, I didn’t have the start that I’ve been training to have in this moment but still not panicking, staying patient and knowing that no matter what’s going on, to continue to run my race. That just tells me that I’m prepared and I just need to put it all together,” the 24-year-old said.
She has been putting in a lot of work with fingers crossed that it all pays off well and she is glad to be walking the journey with her fans.
Richardson expressed her appreciation to her fans who have walked with her throughout her setback and with the comeback, she noted that her main aim is to show up for them in the best way possible.
“I would definitely say I’m enjoying just the recognition of hard work, the support that comes with it and just understanding how different and just tune it with myself. That is unbelievable and the fact that the world can see it, so much work that I’ve done for myself, on myself and the world receives that, I’m appreciative and I will always show up for my fans,” Richardson said.
She was off to a slow start to her season, finishing second in the 200m at the Diamond League Meeting in Xiamen before settling for third at the meeting in Suzhou. Richardson then bounced back with a stunning win at the Prefontaine Classic, the Diamond League Meeting in Eugene.
