Faith Cherotich's hard work has paid off since she ended her track season with millions in her account.

19-year-old Faith Cherotich is the next big thing when it comes to the women’s 3000m Steeplechase.

Cherotich has had a stellar season, thanks to her hard work, where she has been able to earn millions of shillings from her talent.

The reigning World Under-20 champion opened her season at the World Cross-country Championships, competing in the junior race. She finished fourth and managed to walk away with approximately Ksh 450,800.

The youngster did not rest on her laurels as she proceeded to the Diamond League Meeting in Doha, Qatar, and finished third.

With her third-place finish, the Kalyet Secondary School student bagged Ksh 516,600. The money was definitely a morale booster for her as she proceeded to finish second at the Kip Keino Classic where she was guaranteed approximately Ksh600,000.

She fought hard for a ticket to the World Championships after finishing third at the World Championships National Trials held at the Nyayo National Stadium.

Cherotich proceeded to finish third at the World Championships in Budapest, Hungary where she walked away with approximately Ksh 3,198,800.

She was hungry for more success as she proceeded to the Diamond League Meeting in Zurich where she finished third to walk away with Ksh 516,600.

At the Diamond League Meeting final in Eugene, USA, Cherotich also put in the work and finished third. With her third-place finish, she bagged Ksh 1,033,200. The youngster has closed her track season with more than Ksh 2 million in her account.
