Saint Lucia's star Julien Alfred ended her season with a perfect victory to win the Diamond League title in Brussels, as Sha'Carri Richardson surprisingly finished eighth.
Olympic champion Julien Alfred capped off her outstanding 2024 season in style by claiming her first Diamond League title in Brussels as Sha'Carri Richardson finished eighth.
The Saint Lucian speed queen was unstoppable from the start, blazing through her lane to the finish line in an impressive 10.88s (0.2) for another famous win.
Alfred edged a fast-finishing Dina Asher-Smith on the line, as the British record holder settled for second in 10.92s, while Africa's fastest woman in history was third in 11.05s.
Surprisingly, American track star Richardson who had a brilliant performance a week ago in Zurich faded to a distant seventh in 11.23s, failing to end her season on a high.
For Alfred, she has proven she's the undisputed queen of sprint this season, having claimed all titles available this year. She is now the World indoor champion, Olympic champion, and Diamond League champion.
