Edward Cheserek has been spending most of his time training with the newly-crowned marathon world record holder ahead of his full marathon debut at the New York City Marathon on Sunday.
Cheserek disclosed that Kiptum is banking on him to do well since he has the potential to do well. He explained that training with Kiptum and other marathoners was quite easy for him since they kept pushing and motivating him to do better.

“Marathon training was fun when I was training with other marathoners but doing it all alone was not easy.
I have trained with a lot of marathoners from Kenya including Kelvin Kiptum and we worked together in June and July until he went for the Chicago Marathon.
We did the workouts and easy runs together and he believes I am capable of doing well over the marathon.
