Letsile Tebogo has looked back at the Kip Keino classic 200m second place finish and sent a message ahead of the Bahamas world relays.
Reigning World 100m silver medalist Letsile Tebogo has opened up on his experience in Kenya after taking part in the sixth edition of the Absa Kip Keino classic on April 20.
Tebogo, who finished second to Lindsey Courtney in the 200m race, recently took to social media to share his thoughts following a memorable event in Kenya.
Despite experiencing mixed emotions, Tebogo expressed gratitude for the warm reception and support he received from Kenyans during his time in the country.
In his heartfelt post on his Facebook page, Tebogo wrote, "Heart has fallen right now. 'You might win some, you might lose some. But you go in, you challenge yourself, you become a better man, a better individual, a better fighter'."
Tebogo thanked Kenya for hosting such an amazing event and expressed his appreciation for the overwhelming love and hospitality shown by Kenyans. He described the experience as feeling "so at home” and emphasized the warmth of the Kenyan people, which was "beyond comprehension."
Looking ahead, Tebogo has set his sights on the upcoming Bahamas World Relays scheduled for 4-5 May 2024. With his eyes firmly set on the prize, Tebogo is gearing up for the next challenge and is determined to continue improving his performance.
