Letsile Tebogo’s coach Kebonyemodisa ‘Dose’ Mosimanyane has not been left behind as his prodigy continues to receive massive rewards for his Paris Olympics success.
Tebogo made history when he became Botswana’s first-ever Olympics gold medallist after stunning triple world champion Noah Lyles to claim gold in the 200m, in a time of 19.46 seconds, with US sprinter Kenny Bednarek grabbing silver in 19.62 seconds.
Lyles, meanwhile, settled for a disappointing bronze in a time of 19.70 seconds as the 21-year-old wrote a new chapter in the history of his country.

Letsile Tebogo: More goodies for Botswana's golden boy as he lands lucrative sponsorship
Botswana sprinter Letsile Tebogo has received yet another reward for his Paris Olympics heroics after landing a one-year sponsorship from a top restaurant.
Following his win, before anchoring Team Botswana to 4x400m relay silver, Tebogo has been celebrated his home country with lots of cash rewards going his way.
His coach has also not been left behind as he continues to reap the rewards of masterminding the win for the young athlete.
Tebogo led from the front as he joined his training mates Leungo Scotch, Bayapo Ndori and Anthony Pasela in surprising Mosimanyane with a brand-new Toyota Lexus car.

The Olympic champion has expressed his disappointment at the lukewarm reception Team USA athletes received back home despite their successful outing in Paris.
This was followed by a gift of a polished diamond and P60,000 (Ksh580,068) alongside Team Botswana members las weekend when Debswana, De Beers Global Sight holder Sales and Diamond Trading Company Botswana feted the athletes.
His great weekend did not end there as joined Tebogo at a reward ceremony from his sponsors Orange Botswana, who gifted him P50,000 (Ksh483,390). Mosimanyane will also receive $18,747 (Ksh2,413,676) from Choppies and was among the 23 recipients of an expectant dairy cow from Minister Eric Molale.
“And coach Dose you have shown us that with the right guidance, all athletes can reach the pinnacle of international competition,” said Orange Botswana CEO Nene Maiga, as per Botswana News Daily.

The 2004 Olympic champion gave an explanation, revealing why Noah Lyles was not in the best position to win the 200m, whether he was healthy or not.
Mosimanyane has worked with Tebogo since he burst onto the scene, going on to win back-to-back World U20 Championships titles, before he announced himself to the world with silver in 100m and bronze in 200m at the 2023 World Championships.
The Olympics gold was therefore a culmination of good training and tactics from Mosimanyane who saw his hard work finally pay off big time.
