Three-time National champion Mark Otieno has revealed two amazing things about his son who was born on Tuesday, January 16.
Following the birth of his son, Otieno shared the good news on his Facebook page saying: “Tuesday, Jan 16th, 2024, my world changed for the better. My son was born, and he has my whole heart plus more. Truly, my God Is a God of restoration. He Is to be trusted.”

Sprint sensation Mark Otieno remains hopeful of qualifying for the Olympic Games despite the fast-approaching window period deadline.
After his scintillating run to win the 100m at the World Athletics Championships national trials, Otieno revealed two more details about his son. He explained that he certainly picked his mother’s looks but the personality is his.

Meanwhile, Otieno is still keen on qualifying for the Olympic Games, something that will come as a blessing to his young family. For the 10,000m, combined events, race walks, and relays, the qualification and ranking period will be between December 31, 2022, and June 30.
“My ultimate target is of course to qualify for the Olympics and now, I want to focus on the World Relays then the rest will fall in place," Otieno said.
“We want to qualify for the Olympics with the 4x100m relay which will be history and I believe we can do it because we have a very strong team."
