Team Kenya’s mixed relay squad is set to head to the True Athletes Classics Meeting on Saturday, July 29 to try and improve their ranking as they seek to qualify for the World Championships in Budapest, Hungary from August 19 to 27.
The team will be led by Commonwealth Games champions Mary Moraa and Wycliffe Kinyamal as they hunt for glory. Naomi Korir and National Champion BonifaceMweresa will also be in the mix.

Coach Perpetual Mbutu will be in charge of the quartet that departed the country for Germany on Thursday night.
The team is currently placed 10th in the World Athletics ranking list and they will be looking to improve their time which currently stands at 3:14.64. The Mixed Relay teams include the Dominican Republic, Netherlands, USA, Poland, Jamaica, Nigeria, Italy, and Ireland.
For the other teams to qualify, they have to be among one of the top-ranked sides at the end of the qualification period to fill the eight remaining places according to the best performances in the whole qualification period.
The top 16 ranked teams in the world by July 31 will automatically qualify for the global showpiece and Team Kenya will be hoping to be in the mix.
