World champion Mary Moraa has a chance to get revenge against her Ethiopian rival in Zurich while also moving top of the 800m Diamond League leaderboard.
Mary Moraa will be seeking to complete her good season with a victory at the Zurich Diamond League on Thursday.
Fresh from breaking the 600m world record in Berlin last weekend, Moraa can make it three Diamond League wins this season and move to the top of the leaderboard, heading to the season finale in Brussels later this month.
The Olympics bronze medallist is already assured of her place in the final but will want to assert her dominance and dislodge Britain’s Jemma Reekie from the top as the former has 26 points to her 23.

Mary Moraa looking for a yacht after breaking 600m world record, but is there a marina in Kisii?
Mary Moraa humorously plans to buy a yacht despite Kisii, her hometown, lacking any large bodies of water.
Moraa has already notched up wins in Doha and Lausanne and also finished second at the Prefontaine Classic, the Eugene Diamond League.
Another win Zurich will see her collect the maximum eight points and take her tally to 31, heading to Brussels where $30,000 (Ksh3.9 million) and a Diamond League Trophy is at stake.
Moraa is looking to make amends for her poor outing at the 2023 Diamond League Final when she finished fourth despite heading into the event as one of the favourites.

'That was scary' - American sprint legend in awe of Letsile Tebogo's dominant victory in Rome
The former Olympics and world champion was left speechless after the Botswana sprint sensation shut down the Rome Diamond League in style.
In Zurich, she is up against Reekie, who exited the Paris Olympics at the semi-finals, as well as Ethiopian Tsige Duguma, who beat her to a silver medal at the Games.
What should give Moraa hope is that Reekie is yet to win a Diamond League race this season while Duguma has featured in two and not done better than seventh place.
However, the Ethiopian’s Olympics performance suggest she cannon be wished away but Moraa will be hoping to kill two birds with one stone, getting to the top of the standings while gaining her revenge on Duguma.
